B & G Drafting has been a trusted name in residential design for more than 50 years. Founded in 1971 by Jim Baker and Ken Grant, the company began as a small but ambitious drafting partnership with a clear vision: give people the plans they need to turn their ideas into homes they love.

When Ken retired in 2000, the business became a family operation, with Jim’s son, David Baker, stepping into a lead role. David learned the craft the traditional way—through years of working side by side with his father. From hand-drawn elevations to today’s digital drafting, he’s seen the industry evolve but has kept the same priority: make the design process as clear, straightforward, and enjoyable as possible for every client.
