An Intermediate Preliminary may or may not be necessary. Many times a project can transition to Final Construction Drawings by noting changes directly on the first Preliminary Design.

If design changes are required that are difficult to visualize or solve by sketching, an Intermediate Preliminary may be necessary. This deliverable may be requested by the client if so desired, or sometimes the designer may recommend this service based on the situation. Because of the open-ended nature of incremental design changes, Intermediate Preliminaries are considered additional services and
are not included in the price of standard service packages.

Once one or more Intermediate Preliminaries have produced the desired results, the client may approve the design for the preparation of Final Construction Drawings.
